I will discuss the various concepts of temperature that appear in the holographic description of de Sitter space using double-scaled SYK (DSSYK) as a motivating example. Along the way we will review the separation of scales that takes place in the semiclassical limit of de Sitter space and make contact with recent discussions of the “fake disk” picture for DSSYK. Time permitting, I will also touch upon some of the open problems in the area of de Sitter holography.
