Dynamical Relaxation for the Higgs Mass

The hierarchy problem, the puzzlingly light mass of the Higgs, is one of the largest open questions in physics beyond the Standard Model.  A new class of solutions is found which replaces physics at the weak scale with dynamical relaxation during the early universe, thus giving radically different predictions than conventional approaches to the hierarchy problem.

This paper by SITP physicist Peter W. Graham and collaborators was published in Physical Review Letters and written about by Quanta Magazine and in a Physics Viewpoint article.
