Statistical physics of electrons in a half-filled lowest Landau level

Srinivas Raghu of Stanford University will give the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics (SITP) Monday Colloquium.

Abstract: Electrons in a half-filled lowest Landau level realize a novel gapless quantum many body state. Many aspects of the low energy behavior of this system are actively being investigated. Professor Raghu will review the basic physics of the problem and describe recent developments.
