Title:
Black Hole Superradiance of Self-Interacting Particles

Abstract:
Spinning astrophysical black holes probe the existence of new light, weakly-coupled hidden sector particles (that may or may not also be the cosmological dark matter), through the phenomenon of black hole superradiance. In this talk, I will present my work on black hole superradiance and the plurality of phenomenological signatures that would accompany the superradiant process for a new scalar particle: the extraction of angular momentum from the black hole population and the emission of gravitational and scalar radiation, which altogether present a tremendous potential for discovery.
