Entanglement as a connection for holographic spacetimes

Lampros Lamprou of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will give the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics (SITP) Monday Colloquium.

Abstract: It is often said that CFT entanglement "builds" the bulk spacetime, in AdS/CFT. But how? I will argue that the structure of entanglement plays the role of a connection that consistently glues together entanglement wedges to produce the global bulk geometry. Holonomies of this entanglement connection reflect the bulk spacetime curvature.
