Gonzalo Torroba of the Centro Atómico Bariloche will give the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics (SITP) Monday Colloquium.
Combining information theory with Lorentz invariance and unitarity gives rise to powerful nonperturbative methods in quantum field theory. In this talk, Gonzalo will review recent progress on understanding the renormalization group, presenting a unified picture of all known irreversibility theorems in relativistic theories.
