Prof. Robert Laughlin of Stanford's Physics Department will give the October 17, 2017 Applied Physics/Physics colloquium entitled "The Brayton Battery."  This talk will give an overview of work on the matter grid energy storage using reversible heat engines and molten nitrate salt.
